The 2013 €20 Gold Proof and €10 Silver Proof Coins commemorating the 50th Anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s visit to Ireland will be launched on 27 June 2013. The issue limit is 10,000 double units (gold & silver). The €20 Gold Proof Coin (.999 Gold) weighs 1g with a diameter of 13.92mm. The €10 Silver Proof Coin (.925 Sterling Silver) weighs 28.28g with a diameter of 38.61mm.
The designer is sculptor Tom Fitzgerald who lives and works in Limerick.
